The Service We Provide
The computer revolution is transforming society. It is also transforming the lives of people with disabilities by giving them greater independence and productivity. Communication, study, personal finance, recreation, creativity, work - in all of these areas computer technology gives people with a disability new options. It is helping these people get into life in a way that has never before been possible.
Central to this exciting process has been the development of assistive technology. There are many alternatives to the standard keyboard and mouse. These adaptations enable almost everyone - including those with special needs - to use a computer successfully.
In Australia one of the leading organisations that assists people with a disability to access a computer is ABILITY TECHNOLOGY. Ability has assisted hundreds of people to gain access to a computer and to transform their lives as a result. This website contains information that introduces you - whether you are a person with a disability, a family member, a therapist, a teacher, or a government worker - to the exciting world of computer technology for people with special needs.
